No VR gear is required when using Glue on your desktop computer, but you will need a pair of headphones. We strongly recommend using a quality pair of cans with a built-in microphone to enjoy spatial audio as well as avoid background noise and audio feedback. After connecting to your computer, make sure your OS settings are pointing to the right audio device.

Running Glue with Quest does not require any additional hardware, but for the time being you will need a computer and applicable USB-cable to install the software. Depending on your computer you might get away with the one that came with your Quest or or get a suitable usb-adapter. Watch this spot, we are working hard to make this much more simple!

When you have set up your VR device you need to install SteamVR that enables the VR mode in Glue. Go to www.steampowered.com to download and install the Steam client. Create a Steam account and log in. After this you need to launch Steam application and navigate to Library section. Make a search for the SteamVR. Click the icon and install.
If you are using WMR gear for VR you additionally need to download and install Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR. Navigate to Store section and make a search for the Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR. Click the icon and install.

Download the installer from the link above for your operating system. Double click the installer in your Downloads-folder. The client software will be installed along with shortcut on your desktop. Fire away! |
MacOS:
Download the installer from the link above for your operating system. Double click the disk image file in your Downloads-folder. Drag the Glue icon to Applications shortcut in the opened disk image. Open Glue client from your Applications folder to get going! |

For the time being, installing Glue to Quest is done by sideloading which requires you to set your device to developer mode. Don’t worry, it’s not that hard as it sounds! The installation package with detailed instructions of the procedure as pdf-file is available below.
